6. Plug-ins and tools
YouTube with expanded data protection integration
This website integrates videos from the YouTube website. The operator of the website is Google Ireland Limited („Google“), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
When you visit one of these websites that have YouTube embedded, a connection is established with the YouTube servers. This allows the YouTube server to know which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can directly associate your browsing behavior with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
We use YouTube in expanded privacy mode. According to YouTube, videos played in expanded privacy mode are not used to personalize browsing behavior on YouTube. The ads displayed in this mode are also not personalized. In expanded privacy mode, no cookies are set. Instead, so-called local storage elements are stored in the user’s browser. These contain personal data that are similar to cookies and can be used for recognition purposes. Further information about expanded privacy mode can be found here: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/171780 .
After a YouTube video is played, further data processing operations can be triggered that we have no influence over.
The use of YouTube is based on our legitimate interest in presenting our online content in an appealing manner. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If consent is provided, processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s device (e.g., device fingerprinting) within the meaning of TDDDG. This consent can be revoked at any time.
Further information about how YouTube handles user data can be found in the YouTube Privacy Policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en .

Any company certified under the DPF is required to comply with these data protection standards. For more information, please contact the provider via the following link: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/participant/5780 .

Further information about Google Fonts can be found at this link: https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and the privacy policy of Google at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en .
Font Awesome (local embedding)

Further information about Font Awesome can be found at https://fontawesome.com/privacy as well as in the privacy policy of Font Awesome.
Google Maps
This website uses the map service Google Maps. Provider is Google Ireland Limited („Google“), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. With the help of this service, we can embed map material on our website.
To use the functions of Google Maps, your IP address must be stored. This information is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The operator of this website has no influence on this data transmission. If Google Maps is activated, Google can optionally use Google Fonts to uniformly display fonts. When you call up Google Maps, your browser loads the required web fonts into its cache to display text and fonts correctly.
We use Google Maps to present our online content in an appealing way and to make the locations indicated on our website easily identifiable. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The storage and analysis of the data is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its web offering from abusive automated spying and spam. If appropriate consent is provided, the data will be processed exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG, provided that the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s device (e.g., device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. Data processing
We use online conferencing tools, among other things, to communicate with our customers. The tools used are detailed below. When you communicate with us via video or audio conferencing over the Internet, your personal data is collected and processed by both the provider of the respective conferencing tool and us. If consent has been obtained, the use of the tools is based on this consent; the consent can be revoked at any time with effect from the time of revocation.
Storage duration
Data that we collect directly through the video and conferencing tools is immediately deleted from our systems as soon as you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to its storage, or the purpose for its storage no longer applies. Stored cookies remain on your device until you delete them. Legal retention periods remain unaffected by this.
We have no influence on the storage duration of your data, which is stored by the operators of the conference tools for their own purposes. For further information, please contact the operators of the conference tools directly.

Handling applicant data
We offer website visitors the opportunity to apply to us (e.g. by email, post or via our online application form). In the following, we inform you about the scope, purpose and use of the personal data collected as part of the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing and use of your data will be carried out in accordance with applicable data protection regulations and all other legal requirements, and that your data will always be treated strictly confidentially.
Scope and purpose of data collection
When you apply to us, we process your personal data (e.g., contact and communication data, application documents, notes from job interviews, etc.), insofar as this is necessary for the decision on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is § 26 BDSG (Initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (General Contract Negotiations) and – provided that you have given us your consent – Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time. Within our company, your personal data will only be disclosed to persons involved in processing your application.
Should your application lead to an employment contract, the data you provide will be stored in our data processing system in accordance with § 26 BDSG and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the purpose of implementing the employment relationship.
Data archiving period

After that, the data will be deleted and the physical application documents destroyed. The storage serves, in particular, as evidence in the event of a legal dispute. Should it become apparent that the data are still needed after the six-month period has expired (e.g., due to an impending or ongoing legal dispute), the deletion will only take place when the purpose for further storage no longer applies.
Longer storage may also take place if you have given your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) or if statutory retention obligations preclude deletion.
